The brief
Deb Macklin came to us with a brilliant idea. She already had a product concept which was proven - to engrave children's drawings onto silver and gold jewellery - and she wanted to take the ordering process online.
Our solution
Deb needed Webreality's help to plan out the usability of the site because the required online process had some complexities arising from the unusual nature of the product offering, and we needed to made it simple for the website user. So we started with a detailed functional design process in close consultation with Deb. We then moved on to graphic design and build. During the build phase we started planning the online marketing campaign which was to use search and social media tools.
Following usability testing on the development site we made some functional improvements and the site went live in March 2010.
Our commercial advice to Deb has continued, including a marketing plan for Father's Day 2010, and we are managing Deb's ongoing Google Adwords advertising campaign.
Area of expertise
Deb Macklin commented, “Webreality’s support for me through this project has been wide-ranging and invaluable. My business plan for udoodle was improved by the strategic advice I had from the Webreality team. The website design process was impressive, and now Webreality is managing my Google marketing campaign and also advising on social media marketing. I couldn’t have got the business off the ground without them.”
