Gordon Porter, founder of Mantra, was already a client of Webreality with his
Comtrain business when he approached us to build a second site for a new business he was setting up.
Mantra is an independent company providing outsourced training programme management to HR departments.
Gordon wanted an attractive content-managed site that would act as both a marketing resource for Mantra and the portal to an extranet where his clients would be able to access secure data about their employees’ training records.
At Webreality we started with taking Gordon’s brief for the overall feel he wanted for the Mantra brand and site.
The brand identity was quickly agreed, and when the site build process started it was quickly complete and live in its basic form.
Then work began on the client extranet, with a fixed fee and time estimate based on a detailed brief provided by Gordon. It was built using ASP.NET and SQL Server, as an extension of the core database and web technology that we use in all site deployments done with our reWrite site management system.
The final stage was a number of incremental usability improvements shortly before launch, and the extranet went live in February 2008.
